About Alta Waterfall
The Alta Waterfall was what I was calling this conspicuous waterfall that kept showing itself to us when we were making the drive between the Alta sentrum and the Alten Lodge, where we were staying at.
To my knowledge, this waterfall didn’t have a formal name, but I believe it flowed on the Borrasbekken (or Porhaanjoki in Sami).

I only came up with this name because it was visible from the eastern end of the town of Alta.
Unfortunately, for such a conspicuous waterfall, there didn’t seem to be a pullout or a convenient place to view it aside from having a passenger take a picture from the car.
We did explore a side road that started from the south side of the bridge over the Gaiddosjohka, which led to Seterdalen.
The road appeared to be more of a farm road for locals, and it was in pretty bad shape.
But the photos you see on this page pretty much came from that road.
Other than that, there’s really not much more to this waterfall, which probably acts more like a scenic backdrop than a particular attraction worth stopping for.
