About Mischbach Waterfall
The Mischbach Waterfall (also can be called Mischbachfall) was kind of a throw-in waterfall for me. This roadside waterfall was easily seen along the L232 during the drive up to the Grawafall, and I just happened to stumble across it en route. Indeed, it was big enough that I made it a point to stop for it and check it out a little more closely after I was done visiting the Grawa Waterfall.
This waterfall on the Mischbach Brook was said to have a 100m drop. There was a trail that went alongside the brook from the road bridge along the L232 (see directions below), but given the bad weather during my visit, I resigned myself to just checking it out from afar by the road.
Had I done the hike to get up to a different lookout, it would have been around a 40-minute walk with a 200m elevation gain. That was something I just wasn’t up for under the soggy conditions.
As I was doing my best to keep the camera from getting damaged, while taking photos and videos of what I could of the Mischbachfall from the L232, I did notice in the distance to the west some snow fields. I’d imagine all that white atop of the mountains at the head of Stubaital Valley was from the namesake Stuibai Glacier.
