Fitzroy Falls

submitted by Leo Li on January 4, 2011

The World of Waterfalls has been to this waterfall, which you can read about here.

There is a place southwest of Sydney called Southern Highlands. In Southern Highlands there is a famous waterfall called Fitzroy Falls.

Fitzroy Falls is 81 metres high. It is surrounded by a valley. The falls fall onto some rocks and form a river that flows into the valley.

You can view the falls from many lookouts. The first lookout is right next to the waterfall so you could see it in detail. When sunlight hits the waterfall, it makes a beautiful rainbow. There is also a clear floor where you could see the base of the falls but some people might be scared of it. From the second lookout, you could see the whole front of the falls at one time. It is the best lookout to take family photos. The third lookout is called twin falls. It still shows the front but you could see a small gap between the waterfalls.

Fitzroy Falls is a very beautiful waterfall and is listed the fourth most beautiful waterfall in Australia. Thank you for reading my description.
