About Boulder Creek Falls
Boulder Creek Falls is an interesting roadside waterfall that we missed the first time around when headed towards Ponderosa from Porterville (maybe because we were driving in the dark).
However, on a follow-up trip three years later in 2005, my parents noticed it as we made the drive in broad daylight.

So seeing this waterfall was pretty straightforward as it cascaded vigorously besides the road before going underneath it.
When we found a pullout and walked closer to the falls, we saw that the falls continued tumbling below the road before eventually joining the Middle Fork of the Tule River.
Although I happened to have a tripod with me so I could experiment with long exposure photographs, this waterfall was merely a brief stop.
I’d imagine only waterfall enthusiasts would bother stopping for it or spend as much time as we did.
