My husband and I were in Hawaii 1952-1954. He was stationed at Hickham AFB. We hiked to the falls with friends. Over streams and up and down hills we went.
Such a beautiful trip.
At the falls all went into the pool for a swim except me. I can’t swim, but I sat on the side and watched.
Such a warm, gorgeous place to be.
And truly sacred.
I hear it was not to be turned into a tourist place ever but obviously it was, after we left Hawaii. Hence the landslide maybe. The Gods were angry.
When we were there it was a pristine place as though we were the only ones who had ever visited. It will always be a wonderful memory.
