Waterfall Safety and Common Sense

Twin Falls seemed to be one of the more ordinary waterfalls amongst the ten major ones that we managed to see while visiting Silver Falls State Park. This one was short as it was tumbling probably around 20-25ft. However, it had pretty good flow and it was split in the middle by a rock that yielded the dual side-by-side property of the falls that caused it to earn its name.

There was a railing along the rim of its hard-rock layer supporting this waterfall, but the view from here wasn’t very good. Perhaps the most interesting views were along the Trail of Ten Falls between the Winter Falls junction and this waterfall (roughly 0.3 miles to the east of the junction). Unfortunately as you can see from the photo at the top of this page, we had to contend with lots of foliage getting in the way of this view.

Overall, we hiked about 0.5 miles from the Winter Falls car park, crossed the bridge, and then turned right and walked another 0.3 miles before we finally saw this waterfall.
