Waterfalls in Kenya
Kenya Waterfalls are one of many features that embody the diversity of landscapes and peoples in this East African nation. This country features the second tallest mountain in Africa in Mt Kenya, part of the fourth highest African mountain in Mt Elgon, many game reserve parks (e.g. the Maasai Mara, Samburu, Lake Nakuru, etc.), and even the waterfalls within the Aberdare Range.

Our visit to this country was focused on seeing its legendary wildlife amongst classic African savannahs, but we did manage to squeeze in a waterfall visit to Nyahururu (otherwise known as Thomson’s Falls). This waterfall was part of the Aberdare Range and essentially gave us a taste of what waterfalling there might be like.
While just seeing one waterfall in a country as diverse as Kenya isn’t enough for my liking, it’ll have to do for now. But we hope to be able to return this country and see more of its waterfalls while mixing in the classic wildlife safaris.
