Waterfalls in New Jersey
New Jersey Waterfalls certainly seem like a contradiction to those not familiar with the state (like us). But believe it or not, after one website visitor made us aware that there was at least one waterfall here, we had to see it for ourselves. Since then, we’ve come to realize that the state actually had a surprising amount of Nature, and I’m sure we’ll have to make a return trip to see more of the waterfalls that could be found here.

That said, the lone waterfall we visited here was the Great Falls of the Passaic River in Paterson, New Jersey. Although in the example of Passic Falls, we were technically closer to New York City than most of the waterfalls in upstate New York (it’s not totally unheard of to take the mass transit system from New York City to Paterson, New Jersey!), it actually played a pretty important role in the Industrial Revolution in America.
Anyways, I’m sure we’ll be pleasantly surprised in a follow-up waterfalling trip to the state if we’re fortunate to have the opportunity come up. Stay tuned!
